IML-RESI PowerDrill and Internal Treatments: A Winning combination for Douglas Fir Utility Poles

Alamon’s use of the IML-RESI PowerDrill inspection instrument is a perfect fit for Douglas Fir poles that are prone to internal decay.  The on board micro-needle bores through the pole, picking up any signs of internal decay.  The results are graphed and displayable to the inspector and our customer, showing the exact internal condition of the pole.

Alamon then takes one more step, by adding an internal fumigant.  Fumigants offer an economical, effective, safe and proven way of prolonging the life of wooden utility poles, especially species that are prone to interior decay.
